Republican Debate October 2011
I don’t know how you guys feel about the batch of Republicans running for the party’s nomination for presidency next year. In my opinion there are three credible candidates running. Of course I like Ron Paul. In addition to him I also like Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum. Those three guys speak their minds and tell it like it is rather than playing politics. That is why all three of them are unelectable. They are too honest for their own good in politics. I hate to say it but it’s true.
We all know that Ron Paul tells it like it is. He makes his stance very clear and he is very hesitant to change his position on any issues. He has thought things through thoroughly and it shows. You can say the same thing about the other two guys too. When it comes to the front runners though, you get a lot of ambiguity.
I am not a Perry fan and I am not for a completely flat tax. Romney is too quick to spend money in my opinion. He just isn’t fiscally conservative enough. Michelle? She is unelectable. Middle America won’t vote for her because of her perception as being too far right.
I am really surprised that Newt Gingrich doesn’t get more traction in his campaign than he currently does. Out of all the candidates on either side of the aisle, Newt is by far the Statesman of the bunch. I think the guy is simply brilliant and would make a great president. Anyone who has studied history would come to the same conclusion as I have. I really believe that.
If you knew absolutely nothing about any of the people running and you were to judge them based on their perceived knowledge of the issues, Newt is the winner hands down every single time. He has simple solutions to the problems. When he explains something it just makes sense. The guy is pure talent. It is no wonder he got to be speaker of the house.
